How to import
Two ways in. Both keep your folders.
- From the extension. Open the extension’s settings and press “Import this browser’s bookmarks”. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox.
- Or from a file. Export your bookmarks from your browser’s bookmark manager, then upload the file on boilerpod’s Import page. This is the route for Safari.
- Check the preview. See how your folders will land as boards and sections, and adjust anything you like.
- Start the import. It runs in the background and you get a report of what was saved and what you already had.
Questions
Will importing change my browser’s bookmarks?
No. boilerpod only reads them. Your browser is left exactly as it was.
Do my folders survive?
Yes. Folders become boards and sections, in the same shape, with their titles and dates.
Can I import from more than one browser?
Yes. Import from each in turn. Bookmarks you already have join their board instead of being duplicated.
