What we keep, and what we don’t do with it.
boilerpod is a single person’s library. The whole point is that what you save is yours, so this page is short.
Draft. This page describes the product as built and is being reviewed before launch.
What is stored
- Your account: email address, display name, a hashed password (never the password itself), and any sign-in provider you connect.
- Your library: the links, notes, files, highlights, tags, boards, rules and reading positions you create. Where you asked for a copy of a page, that copy and its pictures.
- Signed-in devices: the browser name and last-active time for each session, so you can sign one out. Neither an IP address nor a location is kept with it.
- Search history: your last 50 searches, which you can clear.
- Support messages you send from inside the app.
What we never do
- The app and the extension contain no analytics or tracking scripts. This marketing website counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not set cookies, fingerprint your browser or keep personal data.
- The extension sends nothing from pages you do not save. Its “already saved” check happens inside your browser.
- We do not sell, share or use your library to train anything.
- PIN-protected boards are left out of search, counts, exports and every other view until you unlock them.
- Files you upload are served only to you.
Fetching on your behalf
When you save a link, boilerpod fetches that page to fill in its title, description and preview, and to make its text searchable. It fetches public web addresses only, spaces its requests out per site, and backs off when a site asks it to.
Taking your data with you
Export everything from Settings at any time, free, in three formats: a bookmarks file any browser opens, a full backup, or a ZIP with every file and kept page. Deleting your account removes everything in it and cancels any subscription.
